Scorpion Solitaire: how a round works

Try Scorpion Solitaire at your own pace and keep its objective in view. Complete four same-suit king-to-ace runs. Keep the game area visible while you use its controls. Compare the starting position with the example in the Guide. Look at what changes after your first action.

Seven columns; three stock cards dealt once to the first three columns. Free solo play, no wagering.

Bring this focus to a round

Take enough time to read a new position. If a game has a timer, learn its controls first rather than searching for them during the round. Keep the objective visible.

The objective of a round

Complete four same-suit king-to-ace runs. Use the instructions to see which actions move you towards it. Start with a deliberate move.

Step by step

  1. Move a face-up card with its tail onto the next higher same-suit rank. Kings fill empty columns.
  2. Select a face-up card and then the destination pile or Empty slot.
  3. Use foundations where available; full Spider or Scorpion runs clear automatically.
  4. Undo reverses a choice. New deal shuffles again.

Getting comfortable with the controls

Click or tap cards and piles. Wide tableaus scroll inside the game; use Undo, Hint and New deal where shown. Read a button’s label before selecting it. Read the example below alongside these instructions.

Work through an example

The trailing cards may be unordered, but the destination suit and rank must match. Apply the same reasoning to the position in your own round. Read the matching step again.

Avoid this misunderstanding

Random deals are not guaranteed solvable. A hint is a legal move, not a winning strategy. Take a moment to reassess the position before continuing. Locate the buttons and input area before beginning a long round. Use the on-screen labels to avoid an accidental restart.
